Choose the Good.
In 2017, our son, Joseph, was born. Shortly after birth, he was diagnosed with a genetic disorder called Trisomy 13. We were told by the doctors that the survival rate for children with his diagnosis was less than 10% due to the cumulative life-limiting complications that come with this disorder. But Joseph was determined, and we learned very quickly that he was stronger than we knew.
He lives with a host of medical and developmental complications; however, Joseph is filled with life and light and captures the heart of everyone he meets.
Fast forward to the present, and Joseph is 8 years old, and is in desperate need of accessibility updates: a wheelchair vehicle and renovations to our home which include a larger bedroom + accessible washroom for him, ceiling tracks and wider doorways for his mobility equipment. These are necessary for his safety (and ours!) as he continues to grow and beat some incredible odds.
The current fundraising goal is nearly $300K.
Outside of our regular jobs, the profits from our leather craft + cotton goods will help to offset the costs of these upgrades. Your support will directly affect and assist the needs of our family, and each purchase will bring us closer to creating a safe, liveable home for him as he continues to grow.
